What is a credit report

A credit report is a file which stores your credit history. If you ever have had a credit card, or have had a loan, it will show up on your credit file. It also stores if you have made your payments on time.

Why Do I need my credit report?

  1. Many landlords will take your credit report into consideration when choosing you as a tenant. They may ask themselves "Will this tenant pay his rent on time?". Your credit report will give them a good idea of this
  2. In a competitive market, you will want to have any advantage over another tenant you can.
